You'll cross into Catoosa County. If you have plenty of time, stop at Lake Winniepesaukah. It'll take all day. If you need a place to stay, there are 3 motels in Ft. Oglethorpe.
To continue, you have a bypass and business route. The bypass doesn't have a lot of houses but there are side roads that will probably having sales. The Business route will take you past churches, restaurants, and stores, but no houses. Consider lunch at Park Place Restaurant. It's held the honor of Best of the Best All Around Restaurant for 5 years straight. |
If you have an interest in the Civil War, you'll want the business route which goes through the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. Stop by The History Co. where you'll find Military surplus ranging from the Civil War to Afghanistan. Both routes cross back into Walker County. In Chickamauga, the bypass goes straight and the business route turns left.

In about 3 miles, you'll come to Fieldstone Farms Subdivision. There could be some treasures here. You're back in Walker County. Turn left at either Rock Springs red lights to visit United Methodist Church. You'll find a lot of stuff there. If you haven't had breakfast, yet, stop at Wanda's Restaurant for some good old country cooking. Good for lunch, too.
